How long does a course with an exam take?
A course with an EN ISO 9606 exam usually takes 3-5 days (depending on the welding process). A course with an EN ISO 14732 exam for cobot operators takes 3 days. This covers theory, practical exercises and the exam itself.
How long is a welder's certificate valid?
A welder's certificate to EN ISO 9606 is valid for 3 years, provided the welder works continuously on welding. Confirmation by the employer is required every 6 months. After 3 years a renewal exam is needed.
