Why a laser welder?

Laser welding is the future of industry. Precision, speed and quality that traditional methods cannot match.

High precision

The concentrated laser beam allows precise welding, with a quality that is hard to achieve with traditional methods. Good for parts where appearance matters.

Faster welding of thin sheet

The high energy density of the laser shortens the welding time of thin sheet compared with TIG. The real advantage depends on the part and the organisation of work.

Less finishing

Welds are smooth and neat, often without the need for grinding - less spatter and discolouration, and time saved on finishing.

Minimal heat zone

A small heat-affected zone (HAZ) means less material distortion. Ideal for thin sheet and delicate structures.

Operator ergonomics

The light welding torch (approx. 0.8 kg) means comfortable work for the whole shift, without tired hands and wrists.

Intuitive touch panel

A large LCD display with a multilingual interface. Pre-programmed profiles for different materials and thicknesses - quick start-up.

How does laser welding work?

01

Choose a profile

Select the material and thickness on the touch screen. The parameters are set automatically.

02

Position the part

Prepare the parts for welding. Thanks to the oscillating motion, the laser tolerates gaps of up to 0.5 mm.

03

Weld

Guide the torch along the joint. The laser beam melts the metal precisely - spot or continuous.

04

Done

The weld is clean and smooth. No grinding, no spatter, no extra finishing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need welding experience?
A laser welder is usually easier to operate than TIG or MIG. Pre-programmed profiles for different materials let you start work after a short training session. We provide operator training with the device.
What materials can I weld?
Carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, copper, titanium and their alloys. The welder also handles welding of dissimilar materials (e.g. steel + aluminium under certain conditions).
What is the maximum welding thickness?
At 2000W: up to 4 mm single-sided and up to 8 mm double-sided for steel. For aluminium, up to 3 mm and 6 mm respectively. At 3000W the values are higher.
What are the running costs?
Relatively low. The main items are shielding gas and periodic replacement of the protective optics. When welding without filler material there are no electrodes or wires. Exact costs depend on the intensity and type of work - we will calculate them in the quotation.
Is the welder suitable for continuous operation?
Yes. The integrated water cooling system allows continuous 24/7 operation. The device is designed for three-shift work in industrial conditions.
Can I automate the welding?
Yes. Our laser welders can be integrated with WELDERSTAL cobots (e.g. WS-30) for full automation of the welding process. We offer complete robotic cells.
