WELDERSTAL
WS-16

The WELDERSTAL WS-16 is a ready-to-work cobot built on the bare Fairino FR16 cobot arm (16 kg payload, 1034 mm reach, ±0.03 mm repeatability, 6 axes). A base with payload headroom - for heavier tools and larger parts. It can carry a complete MIG/MAG torch with wire feeder, a TIG torch or a laser head. The WS model adds equipment, plugins, configuration, commissioning, training and support.

The WELDERSTAL WS-16 is a ready-to-work cobot built on the bare Fairino FR16 cobot arm. The FR16 arm on its own is a technical base with 16 kg payload, 1034 mm reach, ±0.03 mm repeatability and 6 axes. It is a base with payload headroom - for heavier tools and larger parts.

The bare FR16 arm vs the WS-16 cobot

The WS model adds to the arm: the working tool, cell equipment, Welderstal plugins, process configuration, safety assessment, commissioning, operator training and support after start-up.

Selection and deployment

We select the model after analysing the process - the part, tool, fixturing, cycle time and space at the cell. Start with a process description. See also ready-made cobot kits, all WS cobots, welding cobots and the WS-10 and WS-20 models.

What the WELDERSTAL WS-16 kit includes

You are not buying just the Fairino FR16 cobot arm. Our specialists analyse the cell and put together the complete WS cobot - from the tool and plugins to commissioning, training and support after start-up.

Technical base

The WELDERSTAL WS-16 cobot is built on the Fairino FR16 arm - 16 kg payload, 1034 mm reach.

What we select the WELDERSTAL WS-16 for

The most common tasks this cobot handles well. We confirm the final scope after a process analysis.

01

Welding with heavier equipment

16 kg payload lets you mount a complete MIG/MAG torch with wire feeder, a TIG torch or a laser head without losing motion stability.

02

Larger and heavier parts

Payload headroom and ±0.03 mm repeatability support work with larger components when smaller models have no margin left.

03

Handling and cell tending

Moving heavier components and tending machines once the gripper and fixturing are selected and access to the cell is checked.

The WELDERSTAL WS-16 with Welderstal plugins

Plugins are the difference between a bare arm and a ready-made cell. The operator works with prepared points and parameters, and a changeover does not start with programming from scratch.

Choose accessories for the WELDERSTAL WS-16

We match equipment to the process: welding torch holders and torches, grippers, suction cups, fixtures, tables and positioners. Accessories are selected together with the model, not separately.

Kits the WELDERSTAL WS-16 works in

A cobot is an arm with equipment, ready to work. A kit goes a step further: it adds a process tool, an external axis or line equipment and becomes a complete cell.

We assess safety for the whole cell

The Fairino FR arm is a collaborative robot - it has joint sensors and force limiting. Whether the cell can work without guarding, however, depends on assessing the whole: tool, part, speed, forces and surroundings. We carry out this assessment before commissioning.

Part of the cobot cost can be deducted

For companies taxed in Poland, buying and deploying a cobot may qualify for the robotisation tax relief. See the rules and what the deduction covers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does the WS-16 differ from the bare Fairino FR16 arm?
The FR16 is the cobot arm alone, with 16 kg payload and 1034 mm reach. The WS-16 is a Welderstal cobot built on that base: the FR16 arm, tool, equipment, plugins, configuration, commissioning, training and support. You can see the FR cobot arms on the Fairino models page.
What tasks is the WS-16 suitable for?
The WS-16 combines a high payload (16 kg) with good precision (±0.03 mm). It works well where payload headroom is needed: heavier tools, a complete torch with feeder, larger parts, handling and cell tending.
Can the WS-16 carry a welding torch with a wire feeder?
Yes. 16 kg payload lets you mount a complete MIG/MAG torch with wire feeder, a TIG torch or a laser head. We select the tool and equipment for the specific process.
How do we select and deploy the WS-16?
We start with a description of the process, part and cell, select the tool and equipment, configure the cell with plugins, commission it and train the operators, and after start-up we agree the scope of support.
