WELDERSTAL
WS-3 WML

The WELDERSTAL WS-3 WML is a ready-to-work welding cobot built on the bare Fairino FR3-WML arm (3 kg payload, 922 mm reach, ±0.05 mm repeatability, 6 axes). It is the FR3 variant with an extended arm - for longer welds while keeping a light design. The WS model adds the torch, cell equipment, the Welderstal welding plugin, configuration, commissioning, training and support.

The WELDERSTAL WS-3 WML is a ready-to-work welding cobot built on the bare Fairino FR3-WML arm. The FR3-WML arm on its own is a technical base with 3 kg payload, 922 mm reach, ±0.05 mm repeatability and 6 axes. It is the FR3 variant with an extended arm.

The bare FR3-WML arm vs the WS-3 WML cobot

The WS model adds to the arm: the torch and welding equipment, part fixturing, the Welderstal welding plugin, process configuration, safety assessment, commissioning, operator training and support after start-up.

Selection and deployment

We select the model after analysing the process - the part, weld, fixture, cycle time and space at the cell. Start with a process description. See also ready-made cobot kits, all WS cobots and the WS-3 WMS and WS-5 WML variants.

What the WELDERSTAL WS-3 WML kit includes

You are not buying just the Fairino FR3-WML cobot arm. Our specialists analyse the cell and put together the complete WS cobot - from the tool and plugins to commissioning, training and support after start-up.

Technical base

The WELDERSTAL WS-3 WML cobot is built on the Fairino FR3-WML arm - 3 kg payload, 922 mm reach.

What we select the WELDERSTAL WS-3 WML for

The most common tasks this cobot handles well. We confirm the final scope after a process analysis.

01

Longer welds on light structures

922 mm reach with a 3 kg payload. The arm covers a larger area of the table without repositioning the part during welding.

02

MIG/MAG and TIG welding

Repeatable torch guidance along a programmed path. The WML variant is factory-prepared for the welding process.

03

Cells with a fixture

Working with a part clamped in a fixture, when it matters to cover the whole structure from a single cobot position.

The WELDERSTAL WS-3 WML with Welderstal plugins

Plugins are the difference between a bare arm and a ready-made cell. The operator works with prepared points and parameters, and a changeover does not start with programming from scratch.

Choose accessories for the WELDERSTAL WS-3 WML

We match equipment to the process: welding torch holders and torches, grippers, suction cups, fixtures, tables and positioners. Accessories are selected together with the model, not separately.

Kits the WELDERSTAL WS-3 WML works in

A cobot is an arm with equipment, ready to work. A kit goes a step further: it adds a process tool, an external axis or line equipment and becomes a complete cell.

We assess safety for the whole cell

The Fairino FR arm is a collaborative robot - it has joint sensors and force limiting. Whether the cell can work without guarding, however, depends on assessing the whole: tool, part, speed, forces and surroundings. We carry out this assessment before commissioning.

Part of the cobot cost can be deducted

For companies taxed in Poland, buying and deploying a cobot may qualify for the robotisation tax relief. See the rules and what the deduction covers.

Other WS cobots

Each WS cobot is built on a different Fairino FR arm - they differ in payload and reach.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does the WS-3 WML differ from the bare Fairino FR3-WML arm?
The FR3-WML is the cobot arm alone in its welding variant, with 3 kg payload and 922 mm reach. The WS-3 WML is a ready Welderstal cell built on that base: the FR3-WML arm, torch, equipment, welding plugin, process configuration, commissioning, training and support after start-up.
How does the WS-3 WML differ from the WS-3 WMS?
In reach and repeatability. The WS-3 WML has 922 mm and ±0.05 mm, the WS-3 WMS has 622 mm and ±0.02 mm. Both have a 3 kg payload and the rest of the kit is the same. We choose the WML when the part does not fit within 622 mm reach.
Is the WS-3 WML enough for larger structures?
With 3 kg payload and 922 mm reach it handles medium-sized structures within a single cell. For large structures and long welds we suggest the WS-5 WML with 1900 mm reach or a kit with a linear track.
What is added to the arm in a WS kit?
The torch and welding equipment, part fixturing, the cell base, the Welderstal welding plugin (Polish/English), process configuration, cell safety assessment, commissioning, operator training and technical support after start-up.
