WELDERSTAL
WS-3 WMS

The WELDERSTAL WS-3 WMS is a ready-to-work welding cobot built on the bare Fairino FR3-WMS arm (3 kg payload, 622 mm reach, ±0.02 mm repeatability, 6 axes). It is the most compact welding variant in the family - easy to move between workstations. The WS model adds the torch, cell equipment, the Welderstal welding plugin, configuration, commissioning, training and support.

The WELDERSTAL WS-3 WMS is a ready-to-work welding cobot built on the bare Fairino FR3-WMS arm. The FR3-WMS arm on its own is a technical base with 3 kg payload, 622 mm reach, ±0.02 mm repeatability and 6 axes. It is the most compact welding variant in the FR family.

The bare FR3-WMS arm vs the WS-3 WMS cobot

The WS model adds to the arm: the torch and welding equipment, part fixturing, the Welderstal welding plugin, process configuration, safety assessment, commissioning, operator training and support after start-up.

Selection and deployment

We select the model after analysing the process - the part, weld, fixture, cycle time and space at the cell. Start with a process description. See also ready-made cobot kits, all WS cobots and the WS-3 WML and WS-5 WML variants.

What the WELDERSTAL WS-3 WMS kit includes

You are not buying just the Fairino FR3-WMS cobot arm. Our specialists analyse the cell and put together the complete WS cobot - from the tool and plugins to commissioning, training and support after start-up.

Technical base

The WELDERSTAL WS-3 WMS cobot is built on the Fairino FR3-WMS arm - 3 kg payload, 622 mm reach.

What we select the WELDERSTAL WS-3 WMS for

The most common tasks this cobot handles well. We confirm the final scope after a process analysis.

01

MIG/MAG welding of small parts

Short, repeatable welds on parts that fit within the 622 mm reach. The WMS variant is factory-prepared for torch guidance.

02

Changing welding workstations

The lightest welding variant in the family. Suitable where the cobot is moved between stations instead of staying in one place.

03

Starting welding automation from scratch

A compact base for a first robotic cell: operator training, process trials and the move from manual welding to a repeatable process.

The WELDERSTAL WS-3 WMS with Welderstal plugins

Plugins are the difference between a bare arm and a ready-made cell. The operator works with prepared points and parameters, and a changeover does not start with programming from scratch.

Choose accessories for the WELDERSTAL WS-3 WMS

We match equipment to the process: welding torch holders and torches, grippers, suction cups, fixtures, tables and positioners. Accessories are selected together with the model, not separately.

Kits the WELDERSTAL WS-3 WMS works in

A cobot is an arm with equipment, ready to work. A kit goes a step further: it adds a process tool, an external axis or line equipment and becomes a complete cell.

We assess safety for the whole cell

The Fairino FR arm is a collaborative robot - it has joint sensors and force limiting. Whether the cell can work without guarding, however, depends on assessing the whole: tool, part, speed, forces and surroundings. We carry out this assessment before commissioning.

Robotisation tax relief (Poland)

Part of the cobot cost can be deducted

For companies taxed in Poland, buying and deploying a cobot may qualify for the robotisation tax relief. See the rules and what the deduction covers.

Other WS cobots

Each WS cobot is built on a different Fairino FR arm - they differ in payload and reach.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How does the WS-3 WMS differ from the bare Fairino FR3-WMS arm?
The FR3-WMS is the cobot arm alone in its welding variant, with 3 kg payload and 622 mm reach. The WS-3 WMS is a ready Welderstal cell built on that base: the FR3-WMS arm, torch, equipment, welding plugin, process configuration, commissioning, training and support after start-up.
How does the WS-3 WMS differ from the WS-3 WML?
The difference is arm reach. The WS-3 WMS has 622 mm and ±0.02 mm repeatability, the WS-3 WML has 922 mm and ±0.05 mm. Both have a 3 kg payload and the rest of the kit is the same. We choose the WMS for smaller parts and tight cells, the WML for larger structures.
What parts is the WS-3 WMS suitable for?
Parts that fit within the 622 mm reach and do not require more than 3 kg payload including the torch and cables. We confirm the specific range after analysing the part, fixture and cycle time.
What is added to the arm in a WS kit?
The torch and welding equipment, part fixturing, the cell base, the Welderstal welding plugin (Polish/English), process configuration, cell safety assessment, commissioning, operator training and technical support after start-up.
